Team History

Team 624 was founded in the fall of 2000 when employees from BP Americas, Inc. approached the Cinco Ranch High School administration and offered to fund and mentor a FIRST robotics team. The school administration, teachers and students responded enthusiastically and organized a team which participated in the 2001 FIRST competition. Team 624 has participated every year since the 2001 season. This has been possible through the sustained financial and mentor support of the primary sponsors BP and Oceaneering Intervention Engineering, and numerous teachers, parents, mentors and students. Other corporate sponsors that have contributed to the teams funding needs include Enterprise Products, Neuraolg, MI-Swaco, PGS, Martin Sprockets, Chevron, and Exxon.
