NASA Robot Display

In the summer of 2011 the team was invited to display it's 2009 robot, Thundercat, at NASA. The robot could be seen on NASA's tours and was a very popular sight.

KISD Board Meeting

Every year Team 624 attends the KISD Board Meeting to explain the team, and how FIRST is changing the lives of student participants. The team continues to pursue support from KISD in starting other FRC teams in the school district.

BP, Oceaneering, and WoodGroup Demonstrations

Team 624 continues to hold robot demonstrations for its sponsors BP, Oceaneering, and WoodGroup to show the progress made possible by their sponsorship.

JCPenney Demonstration

This year the team held a demonstration for JCPenney so that the store employees as well as shoppers could see our robot and the accomplishments that have been made through JCPenney's support.

School Faculty Invitations

To give others the opportunity for a firsthand experience of robotics, Team 624 invites faculty members and other students to build sessions. In the photos below, a team member points out features of the robot to our principal and another student discusses physics calculations with the AP Physics teacher.

Marine Technology Society Barbeque

In 2010 the team was invited to attend the Marine Technology Society BBQ. The team was the only high school group in attendence. The individuals that interacted with the team were very impressed with the knowledge of the students and the high standards that the FIRST program has created for the students.

Team 624's Display Case

Team 624 displays pictures and competition awards in a display case at school. The display showcases the team's accomplishments and its central location in the school's rotunda provides great publicity for the team.
